Our Roasters

​​

​We roast on an IKAWA Pro fluid-bed sample roaster and a well-loved Mill City drum roaster, giving us the flexibility to dial in each coffee with care. Some coffees are bright and fruit-forward. Some are deep, rich, and comforting. Either way, the goal is to bring out what makes each bean worth sharing.

Pivot is led by owner and head roaster Rachael Odish, an SCA-certified coffee roaster with more than 15 years in the food and restaurant world. For the last 10 years, Rachael has specialized in coffee, bringing together craft, science, and a deep respect for the people and places behind every cup.

Born and raised in Metro Detroit, Rachael feels closely connected to the city and its growing coffee scene. Pivot Roasters is proud to be part of that momentum and excited to contribute to a collaborative coffee culture here in Detroit and across the Midwest.
